Draft updated 26 October 2026
Review draft: these proposed terms are not yet offered for acceptance. No service contract or payment is taken through this website. Business contact details and the final engagement terms must be confirmed before trading through the site.
1. Services and engagement
Unfettered LLC offers writing, editing, research, ghostwriting, and content consulting on an agreed project basis. A project begins only after both parties accept a written proposal identifying the contracting parties, services, deliverables, fees, schedule, and applicable terms. Browsing this site or downloading a brief does not create a service agreement.
2. Quotes and pricing
Published rates are indicative, negotiable ranges in US dollars: $0.70–$2.00+ per word and $100–$300+ per hour. All rates are subject to negotiation and the complexity and volume of the assignment, including research requirements, content type, and turnaround. General website pricing, service descriptions, and examples do not constitute an agreed project fee or a binding quotation. The actual fee, scope, and terms must be agreed in writing before work begins. The accepted written project agreement governs the engagement, subject to applicable mandatory law. A proposal specifies whether the fee is hourly, per word, fixed, or milestone-based, how words or time will be measured, and any taxes or approved expenses. No minimum engagement, deposit, or recurring charge applies unless expressly agreed.
3. Scope, budgets and revisions
The proposal defines the brief, number and length of deliverables, included revision rounds, feedback periods, and exclusions. Revisions address the agreed brief; a new direction, additional deliverable, or expanded research requires an agreed scope change. Additional charges and changes to a spending limit require written approval before that work is performed.
4. Client materials and delivery
The client supplies the information, permissions, and feedback reasonably needed for the assignment and identifies any confidentiality or attribution requirements. Delivery dates and formats are specified in the proposal. If missing information or an approved scope change affects the schedule, revised timing will be agreed in writing. Services are normally delivered electronically; this site does not sell or ship physical goods.
5. Payment
Payment method, deposit if any, invoice due dates, and milestones must be stated in the accepted proposal. Invoices describe the actual work supplied or agreed milestone. This website currently contains no payment checkout and does not collect card details. No payment-provider acceptance or availability is promised.
6. Cancellation, refunds and disputed work
Either party may request cancellation in writing using the business contact identified in the accepted proposal. Unless mandatory law requires a different result, the closing account covers authorized work actually performed at the agreed rates or milestone values and approved, unavoidable third-party costs. Unearned prepaid amounts are returned; there is no automatic forfeiture of an entire deposit. Any proposed cancellation fee must be separately disclosed and agreed before the engagement.
If a deliverable does not meet the agreed brief, notify Unfettered with the relevant particulars so the parties can discuss correction or an appropriate remedy. These terms do not make a complaint or refund request conditional on surrendering statutory or payment-dispute rights. Amazon book purchases are separate transactions governed by the seller’s applicable purchase and refund terms.
7. Copyright, licensing and attribution
The proposal must identify the rights the client receives, including whether the arrangement is a license, copyright assignment, or qualifying work-made-for-hire agreement, and when those rights take effect. Copyright ownership is not transferred merely by sending an invoice or delivering a copy. Any assignment or exclusive license will be documented in a signed writing as required by applicable law. Existing tools, background materials, third-party material, and public-domain text remain subject to their respective ownership or legal status. Attribution, ghostwriting credit, and permission to display client work in a portfolio must be agreed in writing.
8. Confidentiality and personal information
Nonpublic client material is used for the agreed assignment and handled subject to the confidentiality obligations in the engagement agreement. Do not submit medical records, credentials, payment-card information, or other sensitive personal information through a project brief. Any special security, regulated-data, or nondisclosure requirements must be agreed before that information is shared. No HIPAA-compliant service or regulated-data processing is represented by this website.
9. Editorial responsibility and outcomes
The scope of research, verification, and review is agreed for each assignment. Clients should identify specialist legal, medical, financial, or regulatory review needed before publication. Writing services do not guarantee revenue, search rankings, publication acceptance, or another commercial outcome. Any allocation or limitation of liability must be expressly addressed in the engagement agreement and remains subject to mandatory law.
10. Applicable law and consumer protections
Governing law and any dispute procedure will be specified in the engagement agreement once the parties and relevant jurisdictions are known. Nothing here excludes rights or remedies that applicable law makes nonwaivable. Where consumer distance-contract rules apply, any required withdrawal information and cancellation instructions must be provided before acceptance. Any request to start during a withdrawal period must meet the applicable consent requirements; a custom writing assignment does not automatically eliminate consumer rights.
11. Business identity and contact
The service provider is Unfettered LLC. Its business contact email, service address, and appropriate additional contact method are pending confirmation for this draft and must be supplied before public launch or accepting clients. The signed engagement proposal must identify the responsible business and contact details.
